Pastor Russell has served the Heritage Christian Center family and me for the past eleven years supervising the pastors and staff as well as running the day-to-day operations of the church.

He has brought a unique blend of skills including extensive training in business and accounting with a Master’s degree in Business Education as well as Marriage & Family Therapy from the University of Colorado. In addition, he has managed the legal and liability issues that are necessary to keep the church safe from civil or criminal oversight. He has tremendous knowledge and wisdom of IRS guidelines and compliance issues.

Pastor Russell birthed our extensive multi-cultural counseling program. It includes Lay Counseling Training, a State Certified Drug and Alcohol Program, Domestic Violence Program as well as providing multiple therapy and support groups meeting weekly. These programs provide approximately 250 hours of counseling to the church and community at large by lay counselors and interns from local seminaries.

Pastor Russell provided strategic oversight of the planning of the HCC satellite churches. He supervised the creation of Heritage Christian Schools, including hiring of staff, writing policies and day-today administration as Principal of the school.

In addition to supervising the other pastors on my staff, Pastor Russell has simultaneously served as the Singles Pastor and given leadership to our Pre-Marital Program. He has filmed video series on both Pre-Marital and Marriage Issues as well as Step Family Issues in the lives of couples.

He has traveled extensively speaking at leadership conferences, Pastor’s conferences, and the School of Ministry at Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Annual and Regional Conferences. He has conducted Marriage, Single’s, Men’s, and Women’s retreats along with his wife, Pastor Lorrie. Pastor Russell has consulted nationally with bishops, pastors, and their staffs rewriting organizational charts and doing personality evaluations to place staff in appropriate positions, and examining the overall health of the administration process.

Because of the heart God has given Pastor Russell for church leaders we a re launching him into his passion. His vision is to bring healing to bishops, pastors and church leaders from all walks of life suffering from burnout, marital failure, or fatigue. He will assist pastors with leadership development, boundary formation and implementation of strategies for church growth and success. He is an excellent source for staff training and organizational management.
